Royal baby 2: Wêneyên herî xweşik ên vaftîzmê ya Princess Charlotte

The baptism of Princess Charlotte in pictures

A month after the official portraits of Princess Charlotte were released, all eyes were once again on the royal baby. This Sunday, July 5, Kate Middleton and Prince William baptized their little girl, born on May 2. To the delight of fans of the royal family, the princely couple walked to the Church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, where the ceremony was taking place. The large public, present at the edge of the path, could admire the elegant Duchess of Cambridge, all smiles, pushing a retro pram, but also Prince George holding his daddy’s hand. It was the first official appearance of the entire family.

As at the baptism of Prince George on October 23, 2013, the ceremony took place in a small group, in the presence of 21 handpicked guests.

The Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, were obviously among the guests, like Prince Charles and Camilla, but also Kate Middleton’s parents. His brother and sister, James and Pippa, were also in the game.

As tradition dictates, Princess Charlotte has several godparents. More precisely two godmothers: Sophie Carter, a close friend of the Duchess, and Laura Fellowes, the niece of Princess Diana and cousin of William. As for the sponsors, it is Adam Middleton, cousin of Kate, Thomas van Straubenzee and James Meade, two close friends of Kate and William, who had this honor.
